A podfic is like an audiobook but for fanfic. Some people record their own stories, but I mostly record other people's fics.

No worries! It's a little confusing if you're not already familiar with it, and it's not a very large (in comparison to like, the fic or artwork communities)... community? peoples?. And the entire community(?) is split up over different fandoms, so podfics are even harder to keep track of in that sense.

Hello! Super glad to find people who also share my interesting mix of fandoms.
I really wish tumblr had picked a better time to have a melt down (it is the end of the semester and i have finals the HELL), but I've been meeting some really cool people, so that's been a good thing.

It really was terrible timing. I'm supposed to be writing about 30 pages of final papers right now, and instead I'm on here, trying to figure out dreamwidth so that I don't get left behind. I was kind of afraid I'd just log on someday between projects and find tumblr dead.

Same. I put all of my eggs in the tumblr basket, and now we're all set to lose this huge part of fandom.
There are already a couple people that I can't find anymore, and I'm only now stumbling my way through dreamwidth. How do you even do the things?!?

I feel like I'm already missing people off of my tumblr dash, but I also follow so many people it'll be hard to identify who. It's really sad and frustrating. Dammit capitalists, and fandom's tendency to go all in on one hellsite at a time.

All I can tell is that I haven't been seeing as many people on main as I usually do, and I Don't Like It. (Not that anyone does) I just wish fandom had a good backup site where we all knew to go when stuff like this goes down. Here's hoping fandom actually Learns from this, but history has shown we're not really good at that.

I really love the stories, find the movies entertaining, and have a tattoo of a quote from the books!
I haven't found a lot of other people who are more then briefly and/or casually interested in Narnia, but I'd love to talk about it (or anything else) with you!

I'd say I'm only casually interested in Narnia, I fell in love with the BBC series in the late 80s - my girlfriend ([personal profile] lucymorningstar), on the other hand, is definitely more into it than I am.

It's a harder fandom to get into, I've found, what with it being Very Much a children's series with a lot of christian undertones. I've found a lot of people are like, 'yeah I read/watched them, they were cool.'

I've got 'Onward and Upward!' on the outside on my right foot.

Hello! These are some of my Favorite Things (cue the music!) and am always happy to find people who also love them. Percy Jackson was my childhood Harry Potter, so they've always been dear to me.
